Despite being more financially responsible, women running informal micro-businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa have difficulty accessing credit and procuring supplies.
Solution
We put in place a mobile-based platform through which women-run microbusinesses can buy supplies on credit with 0% interest.
Customers
Women-owned informal restaurants and retails. They now have steady access to the supplies they need and no added logistical or financial cost compared to previous interest rates above 20%. They also save time and energy which they can now focus on serving their customers and growing their business.
