Problem

The progress of the contractions represents the highest risk for any mother during pregnancy and is the most common cause of death for the baby or the mother herself. Data from 2019 show a mortality rate of 305 per 1,000 births, so a solution must be found to better care for mothers in labour and delivery.

Solution

An Android application which helps midwives to monitor their progress of labor, which can be used everywhere even without internet connection. The App is saving the progress labor results on their mobile devices and is helping them to receive clinical support as it alerts clinical faculties in case of abnormalities during the progress of labor (ex: bleed or Fetal Distress).

Customers

Midwives who are between 24-45 years old and who have concerns about making quick action. Typically, they need to manually fill out a document to effectively and efficiently monitor the results of the partograph. They are highly adaptive towards new technology and interested in making their daily tasks more efficient and easier. Potential customers are also college students training to become midwives who are intending to use their smartphones as a helpful tool for their jobs.
